MARSH WEBCAST FEB. 18 TO EXAMINE CLAIM REPORTING REQUIREMENTS UNDER MEDICARE, MEDICAID, AND SCHIP EXTENSION ACT OF 2007
NEW YORK, February 9, 2009 — Marsh, the world's leading insurance broker and risk advisor, will hold a one-hour Webcast, Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. (EST), to examine reporting requirements under the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007. Businesses that fail to comply with the new mandatory reporting requirements — which pertain to commercial liability insurance and self-insured programs, including general liability, automobile liability and no-fault, workers' compensation, and group health plans — could face fines of $1,000 per day per claimant.
The Marsh Webcast — "A Compliance Imperative: Understanding Medicare's New Mandatory Reporting Requirements" — will feature a panel of risk experts, including: Gail Krinsky, senior vice president, National Claim Consulting Practice, Marsh; Melisa Zwilling, attorney, Carr Allison; Roy Franco, director of Risk Management Strategies, Safeway and chairman, MARC (Medicare Advocacy Recovery Coalition); Jon Gice, second vice president, Travelers Insurance, and John Williams, CEO, Gould & Lamb LLC.
