47 MARSH EXECUTIVES CITED AS TOPS IN THEIR FIELD BY RISK & INSURANCE®  MAGAZINE

Marsh Accounts For Nearly One-Third of All Brokers Honored

NEW YORK, February 21, 2008 — A leading U.S. risk magazine has recognized 47 executives of Marsh, the world's leading risk and insurance services firm, as among the top brokers serving clients in various industry sectors. 

In its current February 2008 issue, Risk & Insurance® magazine published a list of 151 of its "Power Brokers™," the country’s top insurance brokerage executives within 28 different industry categories.  The magazine’s editors and writers developed the list with the help of more than 300 risk managers and made their selections based on the brokers' creativity in solving risk-related problems, industry knowledge, and high level of client service. 

The 47 Marsh insurance brokerage and risk advisory executives who qualified as "Power Brokers" accounted for nearly one-third of the 151 honorees and represented the largest number of executives from any one firm.

The Power Broker™ designations are based on nominations provided by brokers and risk managers as judged by separate panels of risk managers for each industry segment.  According to Risk & Insurance, more than 300 risk managers were interviewed in the process of identifying and soliciting, evaluating and judging the final nominations. Brokers were judged primarily on their creativity in solving risk-related problems during 2007, their demonstrated industry knowledge and their high level of client service.
