To meet the individual needs of our colleagues, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that emphasizes how greatly we care about the health and well-being of our employees. See below for details about some of the benefits available at Marsh Inc. For a complete list, visit www.mmcpeoplelink.com and go to the benefits handbook.
Tuition Assistance
In general, tuition assistance is available for individual courses or degree programs that are business-related or that will help you in your career path.
401 (k) Savings & Investment Plan
The plan is a profit sharing plan with an employee stock ownership feature and a 401(k) component, designed to encourage saving through a number of investment opportunities, including the opportunity to invest in the MMC Stock Fund (a fund comprised principally of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. common stock (par value of $1.00 per share)).
Stock Purchase Plan
Under this plan, you can choose to buy shares of MMC stock at a discount of 5%. At the end of each calendar quarter, your quarter-end balance — that is, your accumulated contributions plus interest accrued — will be used to purchase shares of MMC common stock at a price of 95% of the average market price on the date of purchase.
Medical Program
In most offices and locations, you may choose between a Health Maintenance Organization, which offers comprehensive medical services from participating health care providers, or a Comprehensive Medical plan, which allows you to use the health care provider of your choice.
Dental Program
In most locations, you may choose between a Dental Maintenance Organization plan, agreeing to use a dentist from a set list of providers, or a Dental Assistance plan. You can use a dentist of your choice and be reimbursed after you pay a deductible, or use a dentist from the preferred network and pay a co-payment.
Flexible Spending Accounts
This is a convenient way to pay for health care and dependent care expenses while you save on your taxes. Elect to contribute a portion of your before-tax income each pay period and this money—free of taxes—is used to reimburse you for eligible expenses.
